Ice poles are frozen water/juice and are therefore a pole shaped ice block.

Theres nothing "tip top" about it, unless you plan on deepthroating it.

Dear tomjameswarner,

Well, not being meen or anything, but Hayley annoucned on her paramore.net profile that she wants to forget all about this, and you promoting this t-shirt is making it harder for people to forget about.

This isn't really a question it's just something I had to get off my chest.

Thanks, Zoe.

I dont know whats funnier, the fact this project is called "GREENgate" or its going to be funded by the poorest "tycoon" in Scotland

Rangers owner David Murray plans £1bn 'green gateway' to Edinburgh
Jun 24 2010 By Jack Mathieson

RANGERS owner Sir David Murray has unveiled £1billion plans to create a spectacular new green gateway to Edinburgh.

Murray Estates' vision includes 3500 homes, a sports village, a 25,000-seat stadium and a network of parks.

At the heart of a west Edinburgh "Garden District" is The Calyx, which the developers hope will become a centre of excellence for horticulture training and education, including gardens, displays and play areas.

The scheme, which will create 650 jobs, was launched yesterday in front of an invited audience, including local community groups, at the start of a long public consultation.

It is likely to take up to three years before a planning application is even lodged and an estimated 20 years before the full project is delivered.

The ambitious scheme is earmarked for land close to Edinburgh airport and the redeveloped Ingliston showground.

Murray, chairman of Murray International Holdings, said: "The Murray Group purchased over 600 acres of land at Hermiston in 1989 as part of a long-term property investment strategy.

"Our vision in 2010 for Edinburgh's Garden District has therefore been carefully formulated over several years and we believe these ambitious proposals will provide a positive, lasting legacy for the city.

"Edinburgh's Garden District will undoubtedly provide a significant boost for the Scottish economy, creating real jobs and investment."

The 3500 new family homes will help address existing shortfalls. There will be an emphasis on each household growing their own fruit and veg.

The sports village, with the stadium at its centre, could help deliver facilities for athletics, tennis and curling, or training pitches for football and rugby.

The Calyx will feature gardens, education activities, cafes, shops and art installations.

The idea for The Calyx came from TV's Beechgrove Garden presenter Jim McColl more than 20 years ago.

He said: "The Calyx will inspire, inform, educate and delight the people who visit."

The project's chief executive Peter Fairlie said: "We hope to have wide public consultation to bring forward more views and ideas."

Jestyn Davies, managing director of Murray Estates, who are backed by the Lloyds banking group, predicted the area could become one of the capital's most sought after places to live.

http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/news/3032394/Scots-and-Germans-celebrate-as-England-are-sent-crashing-out-of-the-World-Cup.html

SCOTS and German fans celebrated together last night as England crashed out of the World Cup after seeing a dodgy linesman DISALLOW a perfectly good goal in an ironic role reversal of their 1966 final triumph.

Gutted ... 'scorer' Frank LampardThe Auld Enemy were floored when Frank Lampard's strike was not given with the score finely balanced at 2-1 in a nerve-jangling clash in South Africa.

The midfielder's shot struck the underside of the bar and bounced well over the line - but Uruguayan referee Jorge Larrionda and his assistant Mauricio Espinosa waved play on.

It echoed back to the historic 1966 decision which saw Azerbaijani linesman Tofik Bakhramov award England's Geoff Hurst a goal when his shot off the underside of the bar looked like it had not crossed the line. England went on to beat West Germany 4-2 to lift the trophy.

Dodgy linesman ... England score in 1966 FinalBut yesterday there was no such joy for The Three Lions as their bitter rivals went on to thrash them 4-1.

And in another fateful twist, the Germans' killer third goal from Thomas Mueller arrived in the 66th minute.

Herr we go ... German fans celebrate in GlasgowMany Scots fans in Glasgow were quick to rub salt in the wounds. Cabbie Graeme Dragsnes, 31, said: "What comes around goes around. It's karma after 1966."

Nurse Anne Cutler, 45, said: "This has readdressed what happened 44 years ago."

Lorry driver John Regan, 48, said: "It was a stonewall goal. I had a wee laugh when it wasn't given though. I'm sure we'll hear all about it for years."

Student Jodie Jennings, 21, said: "The Germans deserved to win regardless. Serves the English right for always going on about 1966."

Germans living in Scotland also savoured the win.

You beauty ... boozers cheer the first goalThe Goethe Institute in Glasgow - which gives German lessons to English speakers - was packed with around 100 followers of Joachim Loew's team as they screened the Battle of Bloemfontein.

The building's roof was nearly blown off when Germany's fourth goal went in - with more than a few Scots also cheering it.

Christian Doesinger, 28, from Hanover, said: "I think that is a bit of revenge for '66."

But Christian, who works for McDonald's in Glasgow, added: "I am shocked at such a high-scoring victory for Germany."

Glasgow Museums worker Anna Lehr, 29, from Mainz, said: "That was exciting. I thought I was going to have a heart attack.

"But the Lampard goal that got disallowed was a bit dodgy."

The two people wearing Germany tops were both Scots.

Alistair Kirkwood travelled from West Kilbride to watch the game among friends.

The 22-year-old said: "That was just brilliant."

They think it's all over ... final whistle goesAnd Scott McGowan, 29, decided to join his German girlfriend Anna Lehr for the match.

He said: "I only wore the top because Anna's mum bought me it. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it."

Many watching the game across the country also backed Germany.

But Bar Alba in the heart of Edinburgh's Grassmarket was staunchly supporting England.

Staff were stunned when Scots landlady Caroline Paterson announced they'd be decking the pub in red and white.

Caroline, 44, said: "Some people just can't get their head round it, especially because our name is so Scottish.

"But we're the United Kingdom, one nation and all that, and I couldn't see why not.

"We're not a football pub but supporting England transformed usually quiet afternoons into busy ones."

Only Bar Alba's English chef Mark Rendle, 31, was instantly delighted at the decision.

Off-duty for the big game yesterday, Mark enjoyed the banter between fans despite the defeat.

Mark - who is originally from Leicester and had a St George's Cross cut into his hair for the big match - said: "I just think it's been great to be able to support England in Scotland and feel safe.

"There's not many places you can go without being worried I'd get smacked over the head. There's a group of Scottish lads in here supporting Germany but it's all been good-natured."

Caroline added: "We turned the National Anthem off and played the Proclaimers' 500 Miles before the game and everyone went wild.

"Now half the customers and staff are celebrating and the other half are commiserating.

"I don't know what we'll do with all the England stuff now, but I guess we'll be switching to supporting who we've drawn in the sweepstake."

Scots Abie McCracken, 24, his brother Jamie, 27, and pal Billy Fyffe, 22, all from Edinburgh, were at the bar.

Abie, who turned out in a Germany top for the occasion, joked: "There's a great atmosphere - and it has meant we got to wind up the English supporters

I bet you go to Stirling routinely to rub one out over Mel Gibson, blastin' Flower of Scotland through your iPod. Don't like your bigger, more successful southern neighbour Kev? Razz

^ I actually live in the villiage where William Wallace was born....Stirling has SFA to do with Wallace but has a monument, but we have our own, and many, irritating American tourists who boast of how they are "one sixteenth scotch".

Stirling has a monument of Mel Gibson though, not even William Wallace. An American actor in a film made in Wales by a Hollywood-based Australian gave you fannys a renewed sense of National Identity based upon hatred of the English. Isn't that like Kentucky putting up a statue of Will Smith instead of Muhammad Ali anyway? n00bs.

OH and here is something to lol at...
