Haha you should get it in the next couple of days, wish I had a vinyl player here in Hull haha!

Can't wait to play this baby when I get home, i've always heard vinyl is supposed to be superior to CD's but i've never had a chance to check them out.

On a decent system, it is, to me any how. It's got a much warmer, fuller sound. There really isn't all that much crackle like some folk who haven't heard vinyl imagine there is, and if there is any crackle it's minimal as long as you take care of your records.

But a lot of folk say that "vinyl is better than CD" is a myth, I'll admit I don't know if there are technical superiorities any more. It's all just down to feeling and how you hear it.

There's some stuff I do prefer on CD, but sometimes you hear something and for some reason just know it'd be brilliant on vinyl.

Burgess or Pete might know some technical stuff, they've been studying audo/music tech stuff longer than me (well i'm not even studying audio tech yet, just sound production).

I think it's the fact nothing is lost in the sound. If my facts are right Vinyl is analog waveform, the actual waveform of the song is on the vinyl so no sound quality is lost, or I think that's how it is.

Vinyl is better than CD if you're encoding CDs into a lossy format, if you're encoding into WAV or FLAC or ALAC or whatever, you're getting the full 24kHz of sound. So your dog can REALLY enjoy those noises you can't hear, but say you NEED or else your expensive speakers are pointless.

Course some people prefer vinyl for whatever reason, but sup to you kid(d).

Last night was rather good, ES were top notch as usual although I had to fight with the human embodiment of the honeymonster, he was an actual man-child, for breathing space.

Got to be honest Funeral Party were utter crap but 30STM weren't too bad, looking forward to next week Smile

The Swellers were added on to the Straight Lines show in Edinburgh to try and make up for the shows they've had to cancel with Young Guns being ill, but now Straight Lines have had to cancel because of the snow so The Swellers are getting a headline set instead. Want to go so bad.

Lovin' the Premier League at the moment. Things are fantastic in Spursland and the 'big 4' haven't got a vice-like grip at the top of the league anymore, with a load of dodgy results week-in week-out.

Think I'm gonna. Might not even make Young Guns to see the on Tuesday; I forgot to ask for it off so now I'm meant to be working and the only person who's offered to swap my shift is stuck in Falkirk. Their car is snowed in and there's no trains/buses running.

EDIT: Punktastic are saying they've been added to the Glasgow date of the Man Overboard/Transit tour. Best line-up ever if that's true, I'd be so happy.

Detonate in Notts was epic. Skream was in such a small room and there was a stage invasion for Rusko haha. Really wanna go there for New Years Eve. Rescue Rooms and Rock City is such a good venue.

this makes me think that tuesday must be off, cause i don't really see why they'd play the same city twice in nine days.

EDIT: but gus said to the drummer of the swellers on twitter yesterday 'see you in glasgow'. oh.
