Theres a reason for the heavy dub influenced music we'r hearing, and its a reason that Im willing to put up with it (for now).

Definately need to hear a better quality before I judge it...

But that's irrelevant, it's almost definitely that Rou has taken over the band. Damn nazi.
I think what Matt's saying here is that Chris is definitely leaving the band.

you reckon chris actually will leave though.

They're pretty predictable.
They've become more diluted since Common Dreads it seems, I think as the electronics became more prominent the drums became less so. Common dreads and everything after it has pretty dull drumming in my humble opinion, not knocking Rob's technique at all, just the patterns themselves are more basic.

Good song though...although I'm sensing more and more that one band member in particular is having more of an influence over the newer stuff than anyone else.
Foot work none the less is nice in this track, but yes i do agree.

GUYS. I saw Chris last night! He was playing music, and enjoying himself! Maybe he isn't leaving afterall. I'll try my best to keep you posted though.

Also, this song is bangin' live. The guitar is...chunkier than it seems in those videos, which is always a good thing. Anyone skeptical about it (and I'll admit I was), you'll love it when you hear it properly.

Rout's Influence...

Post by chorleyhxc18 on Fri 20 Aug 2010, 12:35 am

As Much As It's Obvious To Anyone With Half A Brain That Rout's Taken Over On The Music Side Of Things It's Not Like There's Arguing Amongst The Band About It... Go Watch Them Live And I Don't Think You'll Find A Band That Rivals How Much Fun They Have On Stage Together.. They May Have Changed Musically Due To Certain People's Influence But Fuck It.. They're Still Having A Laugh And Playing A Lot Of The Old Songs Too.

I don't think I could even muster up the effort to type like that if I wanted to. It'd take a fucking eternity to say anything Razz

I reckon imma wait til release or something (perhaps pre-release radio play like Thumper and Tribalism got?). Purely because I hate my first impressions of a song being based on a crap live recording on youtube.

I think Chris will be pushed out and form a Steel Panther cover band with some of the blokes from Fellsilent.

Rob improves as a drummer every time I see/hear him play. The drums might not be super tech but they're big and fat and rad and make you want to throw a chair in someone's face.
