Some of the standard of music magazine journalism is abysmal.

Apparently the standards of journalism are nowhere near what they used to be. Appalling. GET ME IN THERE.

They actually compare Thermometers to 'sounding like early Bring Me The Horizon, with Rou initially doing his best Oli Sykes'.
Reaaaaaaaaaaaally though? Has this chap ever listened to music?

It's NME. In their eyes, Bring Me The Horizon were the first band that had a screamer.

I can't judge it yet. But so far it sounds SO solid. The track list isn't in order on this either which is good because I don't want to know all the tracks yet. And they left out one track if you follow the glass breaks. I'm guessing that they left out Constellations. ANYWAY, I'M SO PUMPED!

The way Rou screams 'A Flash Flood of Colour' sounds so TTTS/EPish.

Also the song at 0:18 sounds like such an amazing sing-a-long!

Do you think it's weird that AFFOC and Common Dreads start off the same way? Not too sure about that. But if the album pays off I don't really care.

TTTS & Common Dreads didn't start the same way. Common Dreads started with the same tune that TTTS ended on, but up an octave.

It was the same synth sound, but obviously in a note than matched the key of the album. Would have been weird if it didn't. Since they're staying in C for this album, no need to change it. Smile

I wouldn't think it'd start the same way Will, maybe they just had that at the start to emphasis a contrast between CD and AFFOC?

Infact, they were on about the intro was arranged from the intro used at R&L 2010. If that is the case, the intro to common dreads would not be of the right key to match.

I thought they said they only used the string section from the R&L intro and built system... around that? I think it's much more likely that the first song we heard in the teaser was common dreads.

My bet is the track they've been using to start off shows before Destablise on the October tour and in the US, that one with the strings is gonna be the intro to the album. It sounds a lot like the R+L '10 into and I swear I remember Rou's vocals being over the top of it albeit slightly quieter the seven times I did hear it.

THIS INTRO. It clearly has the Common Dreads intro stuff in it as well as these supposed strings. Bet this is the first track/opener on AFFOC.
