Post by agua on Sun 15 Jan 2012, 8:31 am

like how take to the skies had different color schemes between the states and the rest of the world, wasn't it the same for common dreads? just not as noticeable

also, wasnt there a single vinyl that had two seperate colors? wasnt it juggernauts?

WCBIS had a 3rd, different colour vinyl. It was opaque or some shit. Burgess has it I think.

No idea. They must have just wanted to make a few feel special and a lot feel worthless.

I have one.

Unless it's a special one. Then I don't have it.

I have the normal UK release one.

here's another question, how many distributors do ES use? like how it's Hopeless Records in the states right now. and isn't it PIAS over yonder?
do they use others and is that why people buy like Japanese ones and such?
also, lol at tiny evil being on my ttts cd

You do realise that Opaque means impenetrable to light aha? Any black vinyl is opaque. Razz

Do you mean translucent?

pretty sure one was a bit more see through than the other, because they had to make more due to demand from HMV.

I got my remix vinyl today, same opaque colour as Jack's. Much prefer the US translucent one tbh.

1000 Common Dreads 12"
same as TTTS

I've never seen the variations in the WCBIS remixes 7".
It used to do my fucking head in. I just gave up to be honest.
I just know it was the clear version, there was some more transparent than the others or something. pressing plant error or something.

As for distributors.
For the TTTS era, it was PIAS UK+EU
Tiny Evil in the US
Liberation or Liberty or something in AUS
Hostess in JAP

Then Common Dreads
Warner / Atlantic took over with a distro deal worldwide

Now it's back to PIAS and Hopeless dealing with the USA.
Best combination to date.

Common Dreads' Japanese release was different, had a couple extra tracks. The other versions are all the same though AFAIK.
