Only band I know to have come out of Banbury, and are actually relatively good. Indie though:

In Ayrshire, we've produced Biffy Clyro, Sucioperro and Marmaduke Duke.
If you Google "ayrshire bands" then ignore the wedding bands, the third result is the council tax bands you pay. Music is big in Ayrshire.

The Captain Hates The Sea - http://www.facebook.com/thecaptainhatesthesea
Tides Will Turn - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tides-Will-Turn-OFFICIAL/230567247022951

Both bands are full of some really cool people. The TCHTS guys drove me to Shikari a few months ago. There's a chance I might be playing keys in the second band.

I've already mentioned them, but Descension.
The LaFontaines as well, they're getting pretty big now, but they come from just down the road, went to school with the drummer and still speak to them all regularly.

The LaFontaines are good apart from the rapping, and Jamie Keenan is a fucking great man.

I must say I enjoy a good Kerr rap from time to time. But you're right, Sir Keenan is a wonderful human.

A bong at the start of your EP? Class.

I'm not super keen on the vocals, but musically these guys are pretty good.
