Reading and Leeds 2012
A supposed leak of a poster for the initial line up has surfaced:

Looks quite legit, and if this is the line up, I am somewhat disappointed and see it as average.
Thoughts?
Edit: Oh, and the actual line up is announced on the evening of March 12th. With tickets going on sale simultaneously

If that's the lineup i'll be pretty mad I can't go. Would love to see Foo's and Green Day again, Slipknot are phenomenal live too.
Also it's Reading and LEEDS ya bumder!

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
I've seen that poster on the Reading forums, general thoughts seem to be its fake. They are the rumoured headliners though.
Not that great of a lineup but I'd probably go, Slipknot and Foos! Besides, thers always Lock Up.
I really hope Smashing Pumkins play this year, fallen in love them recently.

Oh yes, changed. But HEY! Making that mistake has no relevance to my sexual orientation!ChumbaWumba wrote:Also it's Reading and LEEDS ya bumder!
I think the headliners seem much more likely than the rest of the lineup. I have my fingers crossed for The Cribs.blissof89 wrote:I've seen that poster on the Reading forums, general thoughts seem to be its fake. They are the rumoured headliners though.

Been a rumour The Cure might play, that'd be pretty cool.
Also if The Cure and Crystal Castles both play Robert Smith migh do Not In Love with them, which would be all kinds of amesomeness.

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
I'm sticking my flag in the fake camp, because this just seems off. Bowling for Soup and Gogol Bordello would still be big draws in the tents, but they're not main stage bands at this point in their careers. Similarly, you'd think The King Blues would either be Lockup headliners or Main Stage mid-afternoon, not third on the bill on NME.

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
this surfaced a while back and was said to be fake. Not sure if it is or not, the guy who usually tells me whats goin on doesnt know yet haha
Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
I would actually go for RB, Knife Party, Snoop Dogg, OFWGKTA, Waka Flocka, Steven Tyler and BrokenCYDE. Not that wilburrrz though, heard he's a knob.
But obviously fake. BrokenCYDE is stylised wrong.

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
In relation to the first poster, I read somewhere that must be fake cause Slipknot have said they're not playing R&L

Corey Taylor tweet yesterday:
'There are rumors flying around that we're playing Leeds and Reading this year. They're not true. Just setting the record straight.'

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
Regardless of the line-up, I'll be at Reading this year. I didn't think it was too hot last year and I still had the best time and the smaller stages will probably have loads to offer. If it's true about Green Day though, the twelve year old me will be will be screaming.

Kasabian, Foo Fighters and The Cure headlining. Florence And the machine subbing one of the days, Black Keys subbing to Foos.
NOFX in the lock up.

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
HATE Florence so much. Not fans of Kasabian, Cure or Black Keys. Saw Foos last year at MK Bowl. Disappointing so far.

That sounds about right from what I've read.
Not sure if I'll go or not. Foos never disapoint but I seen them twice within the last year, I couldn't give a fuck about Kasabian and I get the felling The Cure will be just like The Strokes last year, I'll really look forward to it then they'll be wank. Florence and Black Keys mean nothing to me, NOFX are at Download anyway.
Loads of my mates will go though so...
E: Do you think Shikari are big enough to headline NME now?

I hope this line-up is true because it's not that good, and I'm not going this year because my friends are getting married that weekend.
The only thing I'd be bummed about missing is the NME stage on the Sat with ES, Billy Talent and Lostprophets. Also Less Than Jake on the Sunday. But I've seen all those bands loads of times and I can keep my fingers crossed for some headlining warm-up shows instead

Re: Reading and Leeds 2012
If The Cure headline I'll lose my shit.
I've got my tickets though, thanks to a friend on Vodafone!
