i fucking hate falling in reverse, but shikari, i see stars, and letlive is one amazing lineup. for the most part i'm happy with this. it sucks having to see shikari support once again but it's the only way they're going to gain fans i guess.

I really dont understand why they agreed to this tour. Rou always talks about how there are so many bands that have no message.. yet they choose to tour with falling in reverse?? seems incredibly hypocritical. I mean realize that this tour is huge for them, just kinda makes me lose a bit of respect for them.

Anyways, other than the tour they did with a day to remember.. all their support tours have been pretty shitty. Hopefully they headline early next year.

It's not even a loss of respect, it's just confusing. Letlive, Shikari, and I See Stars (on the new album) all have socially conscious messages. I love all three of them, I just don't understand why they chose this tour. Maybe they didn't have a choice? I believe that the tour will still be good. The three supports have great messages and good fan bases. FIR fans are shit but whatever, they wont be in the crowd for the supports then. I saw I See Stars last week and it was a crazy show. One of my favorites this year. I'm still looking very forward to this.

I am absolutely SEETHING that there's not ONE Canadian date. Fuck everything right now. I'm gonna have to wait probably another year just to be able to see them again.

Ugh, this ruined my mood completely.

Maybe they chose to go on this tour because the bands have relatively big fan bases so they can try and grab a few fans? I dno that's just me guessing. Obviously they may not like the bands' music but if it means they can access a larger potential fanbase then why not?

Also these dates are up on entershikari.com/shows so I assume they're legit.

i don't know, i'm over it. it's better than seeing them first on the bill like the tdwp tour. they'll get to play a decent amount of songs on this and that makes me happy. i'll be at chicago and indianapolis for sure. milwaukee looks very good as well and possibly grand rapids if i have enough money saved. well excited for this!

i don't know the source, but i found this on reddit. looks like something ian/shikari (whoever writes these things) would write.

"we get it. you don't like that band. however... this is an opportunity for us to come and play in the USA again. without this tour, we would not be coming. simple as that. obviously, your own band is making so much money that it can afford to do what it pleases and pass up the opportunity to play to 30,000 / 40,000 people across a tour... but that isn't the case here. Enter Shikari is a working band that wants to get out there and play to people. we could sit in the UK bitching on the internet about what other people do, but instead its better to get in the van and do what we do. plus, Ronnie came to the LA show and invited us personally onto the tour. Don't judge a person based on their press profile, otherwise you become just another dope led by the media."

fair enough for me

that's FIR's call. Apparently Ronnie can't get into Canada; I dunno. Nothing you can skip the border for?

I considered this but chances are the closest gigs are at LEAST an eight hour drive. Frankly, I love ES to death but there's no way I'd be able to afford that kind of trip or have the time during uni for it. Guess it means I have to be patient. :/

Are budget flights a thing that don't exist in Canada?

I was looking at some posts on AOF's wall after reunion shows had gone on sale, since none of the shows are on the west coast, and saw some Canadians complaining as flights within Canada are expensive. So probs between US and Canada is even more so

budget/short distance flights aren't really a big thing here. if anything bus would be the cheapest transit, possibly train. i'm not sure what happens when a border is involved though because us americans enjoy making it a real bitch getting into our country.

Seems like Canada can be quite difficult as well, I constantly see bands having issues.

Bus is the least expensive but by no means is it cheap. Just to get from here to Ottawa it costed me 60$. Now imagine trying to get somewhere even further...

I remember when I went to go to Ohio for a trip to an amusement park, the border people wouldn't even let us bring a half eaten subway sub across the border because it had meat in it. It was ridiculous. What we're we gonna do, sell it?

You could introduce Candian bacon to the American wild, and we'd have a similar situation that there was in Australia when they wanted rid of sugar cane beetles and put 100 cane toads in WA and now you're allowed to run them over or shoot them because they're an ecological disaster. THINK lads.

once again rob isn't touring in the us. they should stop giving us americans false hope that he's going to be with us. i don't know. it's frustrating only getting to see 3/4th of your favorite band.

edit: i love steve and i think he's an awesome drummer and crew member but it's just not the same.

Wouldn't that save them money in the end if he was dead?

....So I'm not actually a horrible person IRL guys, really.

Oh god haha. Well that could happen, if the meat in my sub was able to reproduce. Sadly, it was just some normal roast beef.
