I don't understand people that ignore you when they like you... fair enough if they're shy, but I don't see what's so hard about acting normal.

And about what makes a girl smile... anything sweet or nice about them. If you say how they make you feel, like happy or they make you laugh or whatever... doubt that would get anything but a smile Smile

I know it was a few years ago, but when I was in year 7 up to about year 9, a boy used to fancy the pants off of me and just bully me BECAUSE he fancied me. It's mad! But for some reason, people think giving others the cold shoulder or making out like they don't like them will make the other person like them back.

Yeah, some girls think the best way is 'play hard to get' which doesn't work in my case because if it's too much trouble, I'm lazy and can't be arsed... then again I'm like that all the time, probably why I don't have a girlfriend. haha

Same here... There's teasing, and then there's being annoying and barely acknowledging somebodys existence.
Can't be arsed with 'hard to get'. Be obvious.
If they're not into you, they're not into you. Fair doos. At least you'd know.

I can never tell when people are being genuine when they say they like me or not, I think I'm just waiting for them to say its all a joke or something! Thats why me personally am a bit wary round people I like, not playing hard to get, but trying to get to trust them!

Guys are just useless in general, and I'm sure many girls are just as bad. Dating and relationships are just so complicated, a lot effort and emotional.

Well life is suprisingly simple, but we dwell on things too much and allow ourselves to come up with hundreds of negative reasons about stuff. Go with the flow, don't think too much.

I 100% agree with that. I suppose me being self concious, I never know when guys are being serious.
Like when guys ask for my number because they think it's funny to make fun of fat people like that, it's like, "Grow up". Really pisses me off. But then if a guy is being genuine, I'd probably tell him to fuck off cause I'd think it's a joke.

^Haha
I'm not all that confident when it comes to guys, but if I do fancy someone, I just let them know, so its just easier to be just friendly with them if they dont like you back. I've kinda become really paranoid about guys just lying to get what they want though, its really sucky when I hear about it from other girls..

I don't like it when guys say they like you, and the next minute they like someone else. It really pisses me off and upsets me. Specially if you like them a lot.

mine differs sometimes I can confident as fuck other times I can be as shy as anything.

usually alcohol makes me more confident.

I hate it when girls play hard to get, for example yesterday I got ignored so she could talk to my other friend that she knows then when they left she hugged me and wouldn't let go.

its so annoying.

Happened to me the other week. Me and this boy were getting along really well and he was being really flirty and stuff and the next minute he was just, so off. I was like, oh, right...

Not all boys are bad. I need advice.. Am I an asshole if I don't try? I mean I'm not that flirty, I don't really make it dead obvious when I like somebody, but I'm not shy or anything, just friendly.. and if a girl plays hard to get kind of thing, I usually don't push myself to try. I'm starting to realise this is the reason I don't have a girlfriend because I'm not obvious enough. Neutral

My advice: Don't have relationships.

:/

And to Jed, you're only young and have plenty of time. I didn't have my first proper boyfriend till I was 15/16. I know you want one and all, but there's no point in rushing it, the right person will come. If they play hard to get, they're stupid.
