Oh how i remember the Glory Days of Mowbray, great few years that was down Easter Road way, then we went off the Tracks with John Collins (despite having won us a Cup) and Mixu but thats all been rectified with Yogi Hughes coming in, after the result at Castle Greyskull at the weekend i'm dead chuffed, what a goal by Stokes as well. Seems to me like Mowbray is a typical Celtic manager now, moans about everything, ever since Celtic played at Easter Road and won 1-0 my respect for Mowbray has dried up.

You lost respect for a manager because his new team beat his old team? Now really, what were you expecting him to do?

I reckon you'll put them out mate. Maybe not over 90 minutes, but I reckon you'll go through.

Your home form is excellent this season, they're being skelped by injuries right, left and centre, the whole situation with the banks just now has everyone up in arms, and in a one-off Cup match, anything can happen.

Not because they beat us, but because they did their infamous 'Huddle' in front of the home support after the game, didn't acknowledge the warm welcome he recieved from the home support and refused to believe that one of his players was booked and subsequently sent off, he moaned that the player was picked on by the ref, and now both Mowbray and Walter Smith are moaning that there is a lack of competition in the SPL, and at the moment as they table stands, between 1st and 4th place in the table there is a gap of 4 points, in previous seasons that gap was already approaching double figures, they say its the lack of competition but everybody else knows that they're motivated by money, question is do English clubs want to associate themselves with two clubs that have known sectarian elements, but that is not to say that they are all like that, its just the case that because the minority's acts are completely unacceptable and as a result we seem to tar everyone with the same brush.

Two 17 year old Clyde players, who have been brought up through the Clyde youth academy, have got given trials at Rangers.
I supprt Clyde, and I can't decide if this annoys me or not.
On one hand, it's good to see young players making the step up, but when Clyde have such a small squad and have so little money there's no way they can be replaced. Especially when the best they can expect is games for the Rangers reserves. Surely first team football, even at second division level, is better than none.

Clyde need any money they can get, losing players and getting relegated is better than staying up but going bust. Im suprised Dunfermline havent gone the way of clyde yet considering our 12m debt.

Unless Rangers offer a free loan-deal to Clyde (which I extremely doubt,) this is absolutely appauling from them. Taking advantage of a team in clydes situation.

And what about the Dundee crowd who can sell out a game against Rangers, and were happy to come when Ravanelli, Ketsbaia, Caballero and Cannigia played for them but about 200 and their drugs councillors turn out for the "big" games against Morton etc?

Do we have figures from the past 2 trophy laden seasons?

And before you go on the arguement of how many trophies we have won, when we were winning shag all in the mid 90s, our attendances doubled, to the point where there was a waiting list for season tickets and there were barely any general sale tickets for each game, and last season, as we (looked to be, before fucking up) headed for 4 in a row, the attendances actually fell a little.
This season is down to a. disgruntled supporters from last season, b. disgruntled supporters from this season and c. the recession kicking in and so many supporters being out of work, although Rangers fans have always managed to have ticket money despite the obvious lack of work. (That last bit is a joke!)

Thanks keh.

How about we compare that to some spl teams attendances.

Above 3 spl teams average, and only about 800 people away from another 3 teams.

I'd say thats pretty good going for a first division team being honest.

Hamilton, St Mirren, St Johnstone, Motherwell Id guess?

2 small places, and Paisley is right next to Glasgow (ibronx, parkhead) and Perth is just a city for farmers, not football fans.

Islam Feruz is going to be a superstar, although probably not for us.

I'm not usually one to buy into the whole "next big thing" situations that arise, i.e Fleckaldinho, but I watched this guy tonight, and he ran riot in an international match at an age group two years older than his own.

Given the fact the Welsh defence was the schoolboy equivalent to McManus and Caldwell, but he tormented them all night.
