Re: USA Spring 2010 Tour

Post by apap3rplat3 on Wed 12 May 2010, 8:31 am

Yesterday morning I was unsure if I would be able to go to the concert due to the possibility of severe weather in the general region in which Tulsa is located. I did however make the 1.5 hour trip up there in the end. I stood in line for about an hour and a half (I was very close to the doors though due to being willcall). It started to lightly rain right when they were letting us in (the line was MASSIVE). Go Radio started the show off. They were pretty good, but I didn't know any of their material so I couldn't enjoy them a lot. ES came on next, but they looked very down/worn out. We changed that. They started off with Solidarity, and a few seconds into it a hand smacked my face, knocking my glasses off. Luckily I grabbed them quickly, and slapped them back on my face. Solidarity was of course awesome, and it was followed by No Sssweat, which is always great because of the yelling. Then came Mothership with its new and VERY tasty dubstep intro. There was more crowd movement during the intro than during any other part of their set. It was ridiculous how awesome it was and how much the crowd was moving. That was followed by Zzzonked, which technically was the first song to be played that they didn't play last visit. It was very cool, and was followed by Havoc A, a nice calmer. Then SYNAW came, which was just as you'd expect it to be (although this time since there was a gap between the crowd and the stage, I didn't have to prop myself up on Chris' amp so I actually got to clap this time). They ended with Juggernauts, which was a very awesome end. I left the crowd after that, it was too hot for a longer stay and I wanted to buy some merch. After some time, Rou came out to sign stuff and was immediately surrounded by a sea of scenesters. He was asked to sign stomachs and chests haha. And the best part was this little scene kid said "Hey I was that kid screaming "Sorry, You're Not a Winer!" and your guitarist said "OK let's just play that." Now obviously this is humorous because they always play SYNAW, and there were a lot of scenesters screaming for it, but Rou just nodded and played it off smoothly. I got a picture taken with him, my Common Dreads booklet signed, and talked to him for just a little bit. I didn't stay for ADTR though, as I had to return home for school the next day. Overall, it was fucking awesome, and the Mothership intro is perhaps the fucking coolest thing I have ever experienced.

Set list:
1. Solidarity
2. No Sssweat
3. Mothershio (with intro)
4. Zzzonked
5. Havoc A
6. Sorry, You're Not a Winner
7. Juggernauts

I've heard more people talk about it in recent times. Hopefully it replaces rap as the main thing, but still retain its superior quality. People are loving the intro haha.
