All the dates announced are the full European tour mate, no more getting announced. Blink confirmed it themselves somewhere.

Understand that Scotland gets bypassed all the time, but seriously London, capital city? Not everyone can afford to go to R&L (Well I can Razz)

So not quite understanding this?

However im seeing them and if I wasn't I'd travel to Scots, (I mean cheap flights an all?)

We dont really get bypassed very much at all. Almost everyone comes to Glasgow. Its outwith Glasgow that gets bypassed (dundee, inverness, Aberdeen, usually Edinburgh).

its probably because Glasgow is easy reach from anywhere in the UK, and it has the best music scene in the country, plus all the bands love coming here.

All Time Low are supporting, according to some dude on Punktastic.

He asked Alex in a webchat thingy when they were coming back and they said they were gonna be playing some Scottish shows soon - which is pretty specific for a band to announce. If it was a headline run I'd imagine they'd say there was UK dates.

Not too fussed if it turns out to be true. Think I'd have preferred someone else though.

I hardly ever see any tours, particularly with small bands, where Scotland is skipped.

A few bigger bands have recently- The Protestant, and lost Prophets to name a few.

Parkway Drive and Every Time I Die are both in the UK this summer, neither are coming to Scotland.
The Wonder Years and Four Year Strong are both doing headline dates around Slam Dunk, neither are coming to Scotland.
Crime In Stereo are doing headline dates around Slam Dunk, and aren't coming to Scotland.
Carpathian and Ruiner are doing UK dates this summer, and aren't coming to Scotland.
Polar Bear Club are doing more UK dates in August, and aren't coming to Scotland.

That's just off the top of my head, and within the space of 2-3 months. There's probably lots more, but we miss out on plenty of good tours. Whether that's down to promoters or the bands themselves, I don't know, but a lot of excellent tours bypass us completely. Lots of bands tour the "UK" and don't play any further north than Manchester.

Maybe its more down to promoters? Or perhaps not being able to book the venue around the time of the tour?

Just off the top of my head in Glasgow City Centre alone, there's the Classic Grand, Cathouse, Arches, King Tut's, O2 Academy (1+2), O2 ABC (1+2), Barrowlands, SECC (Halls 3 and 4, and possibly 2 - not sure on that one), Capitol, Ivory Blacks, The 13th Note, Stereo, Nice n Sleazy's, the Garage (and G2), and probably a good few more.

If a band wants to come up here and they can't find a venue, it's bad tour planning, and not a lot else.

Its more to do with the bands not being offered enough. Offer a decent amount and theyd play every venue in Glasgow.

If it costs a band x to get from the last venue+y in costs and they want z on top of that for themselves, but they only get x+y, they wont come.

TPBC played to about 40 people last time they came, and they wouldnt of been cheap. The venue they played also costs 400 to hire out, so no promoter is gonna book a band he KNOWS will lose him money.

*edit* also martin of the bands you noted, you otta remember up here we dont have the same "scene" for those types of bands, it wouldnt be justifiable for either the promoter to lose money, or the band to lose money. Both cant win if it involves costs and low turnout.

Still, you go anywhere in the UK and you see loads of kids into those types of bands.
In Glasgow its all sweaty moshers and the kids who cant go 5 mins without hugging each other.

Added to that, we have, and have always had, a MASSIVE indie scene up here.
